Vacation Lectures – FAQ’s
Vacation Lectures is designed around location-specific, time-restricted professional education. Unlike conventional online courses that can be accessed anywhere (including at home), Vacation Lectures only unlock learning material while you are physically present at your declared destination and during your travel dates.
This structure is intentional. Tax authorities generally assess whether travel was genuinely required for professional development. When learning is accessible before or after travel, or from a home location, travel may be considered unnecessary. Vacation Lectures avoids this issue by ensuring that each lecture series is destination-specific, date-specific, and unavailable closer to your home at the same time.
Because tax rules vary by country and individual circumstances, participants are encouraged to discuss eligibility with their accountant or tax adviser.
Vacation Lectures can be accessed worldwide, throughout the year. When registering, you select your destination(s) and travel dates, and the platform assigns a lecture series aligned to that location and timeframe.
There are no seasonal blackouts or fixed conference dates learning is matched to your travel plans.
Lecture series are available in different formats depending on trip length. Most participants complete between 3 and 14 days of learning per location however longer courses and multi-destination series are available
Each day includes:
- One professionally developed lecture (under 60 minutes)
- Optional supplementary reading or reflection material
You are given a 24-hour window per lecture day. During that time, you may pause, resume, or switch devices as needed.
Pricing varies based on the length of the lecture series. Full details are available on the pricing page.

It also generates clear written text to accompany spoken lecture content. These features help support participants who may have visual, hearing, or learning difficulties, ensuring that Vacation Lectures remain accessible and inclusive for all users.

All of our courses are developed by leading experts in their respective fields. But quality alone isn’t enough; each lecture is formally accredited under the rigorous standards of The CPD Group, assuring you and your employers that your learning is valid, transparent, and globally recognized.
Each course has been rigorously assessed against The CPD Group’s A.C.C.R.E.D.I.T.E.D Framework — covering accessibility, content, creativity, relevance, eligibility, testing, expert credentials, and duration.
Accreditation is reviewed every three years, ensuring updates, relevancy, and ongoing compliance.
Accredited courses receive a unique Accredited Activity logo and identifier, which appear on certificates. Learners can verify accreditation via The CPD Register.
Lecture series are curated to ensure that each programme is unique to your destination and travel dates. During registration, you will be shown a pool of available topics for that location.
You may have some flexibility in topic selection, while other lectures are assigned to maintain regulatory and compliance requirements. You will always know the subject areas in advance.
Vacation Lectures uses secure location verification to confirm that you are physically present at your declared destination before unlocking daily content.
